Dream, believe and rise are used as the three parts for my book Nevertheless and as the tagline for Little Phoenixes. When I started writing Nevertheless, God showed me three parts and the letters D-B-R. Thinking I knew where He was going with the vision, I wrote DEATH, BURIAL and RESURRECTION.

Okay, sidebar - am I the only one who hears a piece of a story, then interrupts the speaker like I know what the rest of the story is only to be all the way wrong? I can't be the only person who does this.

As I continued with the book, things weren't quite right. I got frustrated and decided to put it aside. During this same time, God directed me onto Little Phoenixes. As I concentrated on that assignment, the vision for the book became clearer. I saw 'D' wasn't for death, it was for DREAM; 'B' wasn't for burial, it was for BELIEVE; and as you probably guessed already, 'R' wasn't for resurrection, it was for RISE. It all began to fit together.

In STEAM Power, a program of Little Phoenixes, I use fun and play-filled experiments to introduce kids to physics and energy. I talk about, but not in boring detail, the Law of Conservation of Energy. It's one of the basic laws of physics and it states that energy cannot be created or destroyed. Energy is either transformed or transferred from one state or form to another. I could go on but then my ignorance might begin to show. 😊😞🙄

Sidebar - ever met someone who appeared on the surface to be intelligent only to prove they weren't when they started talking? My grandma used to say it's one thing for someone to think you're an idiot, but it's another thing to open your mouth and prove them right. Love you Grandma Toots.

But I don't stop at the science part. What's unique about the program is the connection made between science and our faith. As I talk about energy, transfer and transform, I am able to tell them the importance of Romans 12:2, and from the the love of God and the power of being purposed.

God is allowing me to transform my aspirations and hope for Little Phoenixes by putting my faith in action for it. From there, I am able to transfer what I've learned and practiced to others; when I rise, others will be raised also. By taking the time to listen, I learned. As I learned, I grew. And in growth, I have a responsibility to teach. The world may not understand why or how you do what do you, but that's okay. Be not shaped by this world. Instead, be proof of God's workmanship, His grace and favor.

So remember to dream, make sure your faith is firm, and follow the voice of Holy Spirit so that you may rise in your purpose. 💖
